< The Stones

The Stones is a kinetically exhilarating, dramatically moving production about a pair of urban youngsters looking for excitement who get more than they bargained for. It’s a cautionary tale for kids, told in their own idiom, and a gratifying theatrical experience for any adult.

Two actors swoop up and down the highly mobile set of half-pipes on skateboards and bikes in an intense burst of theatricality directed by Corey Madden, and choreographed by Jacques Heim (Diavolo).

Los Angeles Times says “The Stones asks the dramatic question: ‘Are young people as culpable as adults when an innocent prank turns tragic?’…an emotional and visual roller coaster, sadly comic and in-your-face confrontational, The Stones, tackles the slippery issue of crime and punishment.”

Don Shirley of City Beat magazine calls The Stones an “intense burst of stage wizardry”.
