El Gato con Botas (Puss 'n Boots)An Opera by Xavier Montsalvatge; A co-production of Tectonic Theater Project and Gotham Chamber Opera. Directed by Moisés Kaufman, conducted by Neal Goren. This production of iconic Spanish composer Montsalvatge is an interpretation of the classic story. Set as a chamber opera, and intended for audiences of all ages, it features a cast of five singers, with puppeteers operating the additional cast of principal animal characters (the cat, ogre and rabbits) as marionettes. A chamber orchestra of 12 is conducted by Gotham Chamber Opera artistic director, Neal Goren. |
