Gabriella Smith’s new work, commissioned for yMusic is a 40-minute piece for amplified ensemble inspired by ocean ecosystems. It provides a point of dialogue for audiences on the broad issue of climate change. Audiences will hear Smith’s interpretation of the sounds of the ecosystem interpreted through the virtuosic players of yMusic. The performance will also include selections from yMusic’s newest recording.
